Santa Claus Parade

November 20, 2011
It's another day with lots of photos to choose from - but I chose this!

My wish was for this "Mickey Mouse" guy to stand right here when Santa's float will pass by - but he was already gone. Just glad I took this photo.

Borrowed Fork

November 18, 2011
An officemate decided to return the disposable fork he "borrowed" from me.
Isn't that sweet?

The Walk

November 14, 2011 -Monday
Today was my day off - so I decided to take a walk along Kennedy Road and just take random photos. I pass by these road signs frequently - but have never gave them a second look. Until today.

These are the signs just before any vehicle enters Hiway 401 and takes the minimum speed of 100 kmp. One has got to be careful...

Different

November 13, 2011 - Sunday
We have been craving for Red Lobster for 3 weekends now. The place is always full - until we we went there today. At lunch time.
I took several food photos - but decided to do something different. So I lifted the glass of water and took this photo. Probably one day, I will think of a better capture...but for now this will do.

Pacquiao-Marquez Fight

Nov. 12, 2011 - Saturday
When there is a Manny Pacquiao fight, it is always a good reason for the Filipinos to gather.

A typical Pinoy home hallway. And that is just half of the group!

Remembrance Day

No work today - but attended the Remembrance Day ceremony at Queen's Park. Once in a while comes a day when it is difficult to choose just 1 photo for Project 365. This is one of those days.

Office Bingo

Played office BINGO today all for United Way. Was waiting for hours for my last 2 remaining numbers to be called - but it never came. Too bad...

View from a Balcony

For the nth time, I will be starting PROJECT 365. This time I am doing it with a friend (or friends) - and we are starting on January 1, 2012 - but we are "sort of" practicing now.

For a while (a year maybe!) this blog has stayed dormant. Looking forward to its revival - if only for my friend's sake!
Nov 9, 2011 - A nice way to start this project with a sunrise view from a Glamorgan balcony.

p.s. I just might change this blog's "skin" - no matter how much it hurts...

Fun with Numbers

Was recently invited to be a guest photographer of my one and only photo meme - Litratong Pinoy. And guess what? I blew it. I sent my photos but left my short article in my drafts. Of course, I found out too late and they had to ask someone else to take the lead for that particular theme. How embarrassing! OMIGOSH!

Anyway, these are the photos I was supposed to post.

When you see this sign, this means you are in the 42nd parallel and now in line with Barcelona and Rome. In Canada, this can be found only at Point Pelee National Park - where the southernmost part of Canada is.

Wedding cake for the 25th anniversary of our close family friend. Cake baked and decorated by the bride.

Personal Safety

Some reading materials from the Lunch and Learn session I attended on Personal Safety. It was a very informative session from safety at home, being alone, identity thefts and a lot more.

Seriously, after the session I got a bit paranoid.

Breakfast for $2

It was the United Way launch in our branch and to start it off, breakfast can be had at $2!

There were bagels and muffins and Starbucks coffee! Not bad for a worthy cause.

Photography & Digital Imaging Show - Part 2

And we came back the next day!

D actually was looking for a "good" video cam. Turned out what he wanted was not in there - but we still enjoyed the second day.

Bag was purchased on first day, then camera protection for my "ever loyal" digicam was purchased on the second day. Lower photo was taken from the workshop on lighting.

Maybe I will go back next time.

Photography & Digital Imaging Show - Part 1

I never imagined myself going to such a show. Cameras are expensive, what else will I see there, it is going to be boring.

Changed my mind. It proved to be a pleasant experience -- and spent the whole afternoon at the show. Whew!

Office Orchids

Officemate R's orchids are blooming.
Not only one, but three flowers are in bloom.

So pretty!

Purses for Charity

There was a sale of bags and purses for a Women's Charity in our office. Just another reason to get a new purse.
Actually, this one was not new -- it was slightly used -- but who cares?

New Pets

Visiting the Pet Shop to buy more fish. Our aquarium is now clean. Very clean.

Good thing hubby stuck on the fish -- not the lizard looking thing, or the frogs. He is done with the goldfish, although the white flat fish doesn't look bad at all.

The aquarium used to be my thing - but I got tired. I don't like the thought of cleaning them. Hubby enjoys it - so now it is his aquarium.

Nurse

D had his 4 wisdom tooth extracted ! Yikes!
The best nurse is always the mom - as long as I don't get to see the blood.
